Lou Fontenot is a New York based artist working across mediums to create vehicles of exploration in the form of paintings, performances, and musical compositions. Artistic practices are used interchangeably throughout the work; standalone pieces are reborn as Videollages, multimedia collages that consolidate, collage, and distill these separate mediums into new works that unify and alter them. In Fontenot’s work a surrealistic lens is offered by which to view human relationship with divinity, identity, and the natural world.
